Water, Agua, De l'eau
Whatever you call it, this has to be the MOST vital thing I put into my body. Even if I'm on a bad eating streak (because let's face it: they happen), I'm still sure to consume as much water as possible. Drink up!
Green Juice
This green juice is, hands down, the best thing I've taken from the raw food lifestyle.
My daily intake includes:
-one bunch of kale
-one half a large cucumber
-one apple or pear
-one lemon
It empties out your system like no other, leaving you with a super clean and energized feeling. While the Breville juicer is a little on the pricey side, I'd say it's worth EVERY penny!
Gigante Salads
Dress 'em up or keep it simple. Whatever your method, I find dumping a plethora of fruits + veggies into a huge glass bowl the perfect solution to adding diverse veggies to your diet. Have a sweet tooth? Add some chopped apple peices. Like cheese? sprinkle the goat cheese to your heart's content. Some of my favorite salad mixin's are hummus, strawberries and spinach. SO GOOD
Iced Coffee
I'm sure many a health enthusiast would poo poo the idea but I happily allow myself some slack in this department! After years of shelling out big money for daily Starbucks ventis, I FINALLY learned I can get the same effect at home for a fraction of the price. Simply brew a BIG pot of strong coffee, transfer it to a pitcher and keep it in the fridge all week. Easy as that. Add a little almond milk, ice and cinnamon and you've got yourself a healthy (and cheap) morning pick me up.
Flax Seed
This fiber-filled fellow has been a favorite of mine since the early days of eating healthy. It's a sure fire way to up your fiber dosage as well as give your hair and skin the TLC they need to regenerate. It must be consumed ground in order to receive the full health benefits, and if you don't have a coffee grinder (shown above), most grocery stores sell flax meal, which has essentially the same effect. It's great sprinkled on cereal, yogurt, even salads.
Healthy Parfaits
This is a true treat! Also a brilliant substitute for ice cream when that nagging sweet tooth comes a-callin'. The BASIC mix includes:
-plain nonfat yogurt
-berries/fruit of your choice
-high fiber cereal
-ground flax seed.

LARABARS
Mmmmmm... perfect guiltless on-the-go snackage. Raw, vegan, tasty and usually containing only 3-4 ingredients. Simplicity at its best.
Dark Chocolate
When I learned that dark chocolate (85% and above) was something I could eat for the BETTERMENT of my health, it was the first thing I bought on my next trip to the grocery store. 'Nuff said.
